Bringing Up Baby had probably one of the worst plots to a movie that I have ever seen. Now don't get me wrong, I'm all for very far fetched plots but this one was just so out there and annoying it became impossible to enjoy. The beginning of the film, which is in my opinion the most important part of the movie, was so over the top and annoying that the rest of the movie was impossible to enjoy. Katherine Hepburn's ditsy acting, paired with Cary Grants blandness created out of the most uncomfortable and blood pressure raising introduction to a movie.
Granted the movie wasn't a complete annoyance, partway through the film Hepburn's character actually partakes in more than one funny and clever scene. The part where her heel breaks and she walks around like an idiot was hilarious, as well as the part where she breaks out of the the jail by outwitting the deputy. Overall the moronic appearance of all of the characters just makes me really mad

I'm glad you are able to articulate your dislike of this movie with such passion. Since I hold your opinion to such a high standard, I probably will not be renting this anytime soon.
So, at least you liked the movie elliot. I have to agree with you that the movie's begining was way over the top. Right from the begining I knew the movie was going to hard to watch. You should be on Conan's "recliner of rage"!
This movie sounds awful. However is it bad enough that you wouldn't ditch us to go watch it with Jordan? I doubt it.

I agree the scene where she broke her heel was funny, but i think you in all over estimated her smartness in the scene where she got out of jail. i think the movie was supposed to make fun of police as well so the film could jsut be saying how stupid police people are. but everything else i agree with you on
Elliot, I agree with your thoughts regarding Susan. She is an annoying menace and contributes nothing beneficial to the movie. It had the potential to be enjoyable however all hopes were lost due to Susan. From the very beginning we could all tell it was going nowhere fast.
